Good Friday

Today we remember the pain and torture Christ willingly allowed upon himself, in order that we may be given the opportunity for healing. His death, our life. May we take this opportunity to remember that because of what he endured, we are able to endure anything.
There may be someone out there today, who has lost hope, thinking to themselves, “It’s just too much.” And though your pain might be great, know that you have a God who understands pain. You have a God who can fully comprehend what you are going through because he willingly put himself in your place.

Today be hopeful, and thankful for the sacrifice made on your behalf. May it give you strength to endure and hope for a better tomorrow. He is risen!
Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:4-5, NASV)
