On January 14, 2014, Heritage Counseling Center will be presenting a seminar to help people struggling with anxiety, hard to parent children, ministry burnout and marriage. We are calling it Just Tell Me What To Do To Make It Better! not because we have a quick magical fix but rather to provide people a path to get better-steps that if taken will move fellow strugglers towards better and better.
While we could have picked many topics, we chose these four because every community has a number of people struggling with these. We are all in relationship with more than one individual held back by intense anxiety. We all know multiple parents with loveable but challenging kids and certainly everyone of us know couples who want a much better marriage. Finally, as Christian counselors, we know first hand there are many people who dedicate(d) their lives to a Church related ministry as a volunteer but are now burned out (or well on their way). These four problems are staples of every community because they will always exist.
Our mission, the reason Heritage Counseling Center exists is to help people through professional Christian counseling AND other resources. This seminar belongs in that last category - other resources. If you are a person wanting to get better with your marriage or parenting a child who seems to always need more come join us. If your anxiety prevents you from a more full life this seminar will help you get started towards fullness. Finally, if you have lost that life inside you to serve others because you are spiritually, cognitively and emotionally spent, join us.
